Everyone at Cheshire Constabulary is deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the horrific attacks which took place in London on Saturday night.
All of our thoughts are with those who have been affected by this tragedy and we have nothing but admiration for the emergency services who responded to such an awful attack.
The UK terror threat level remains at severe. Officers continue to work closely with our partners and our communities, who will likely see extra officers carrying out patrols over the coming days to provide reassurance to our residents. This includes some of the high-profile events across the county over the next couple of weeks, for which we have policing plans in place. Please note that there is no specific threat to Cheshire
This is no doubt a testing time for everybody across the country but we continue to be very proud of how we have responded to these horrific crimes while continuing to serve our communities and provide support to colleagues in Manchester and London.
We urge everybody to stay alert, be extra vigilant and to report any suspicious behaviour to the Anti-Terror hotline on 0800 789321, or in an emergency call 999.
As a county, we stand united with our colleagues across the country in continuing to prevent and combat these acts of terror; we will not let this evil win.
