Ash tree removal, Stretton Walk

ASH TREE STRETTON WALK

Kingsmead Parish Council took expert advice from Caddis Ltd regarding the large ash tree on the boundary of the fire station which sits within parish land.  It was confirmed that the tree required removal for health and safety reasons due to a large amount of internal rot and works have now taken place.

In order to safely remove the tree Caddis Ltd required a large crane in order to dismantle it.  This  required the road at the top of Stretton Walk to be shut off for the day in order to carry out the works.

The Parish Council informed residents and requested them to move their cars prior to the crane arriving.  Thanks residents, appreciated.

Safety signs were  erected and barrier tape put up so pedestrian access through the works area was safely coordinated if required.

All works have been concluded.
